Town councillors want to hear your views

Open house sessions are held for voters each month

If you have views on last weekend’s Canal Festival, you are a user of one of the town parks with an idea to share, or if you are unhappy about something in the town centre, there’s an opportunity to tell the decision makers this weekend.

Two town councillors will be holding an open house session for Banbury residents at the town hall this Saturday morning.

The sessions are held monthly and give voters a chance to speak to councillors face to face, to ask questions, discuss problems and express opinions on how the town is run.

Councillors Rebecca Biegel and Jayne Strangwood will be on hand from 10am to midday.   There is no need to make an appointment – it’s just turn up on the day.

Banbury Town Council owns and manages parks, play areas, open spaces, cemeteries, sports grounds, allotments, bus shelters, civic events, annual events, dog litter bins, and the town hall. It also deals with crime prevention initiatives.

Drop-in sessions take place every first Saturday of the month except in January and August and councillors meet the public on a rota basis.
