Soldiers remove 18lb shell and safely destroy it on local farmland

Soldiers from the Royal Logistics Corp were called to Bloxham after an 18lb unexploded shell was found in a village garden.   The shell was identified as dating back to 1915.

The soldiers, from the 11 EOF Regiment, safely removed the shell.

It was taken to a local farmer’s field where it was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
