16/10/2023
The occupants were threatened, but nothing was taken
Three males – at least one with a Stanley knife – pushed their way into a Banbury home and threatened the occupants during a burglary on Friday evening (October 13).
They got in at around 9.40pm by pushing past one of the people at the property, which is on Farmfield Road.
Threats were made to the occupants before the offenders left empty handed.
All three males were wearing hooded tops with their faces covered by scarves.
The victims, a 38-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman, were not injured.
Following the incident a witness appeal has been launched.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Steven Bates, from the Priority Crime Team, said: “If you have dash-cam or CCTV, I would urge you to please check this and contact us if it has captured anything that could assist this investigation.
“You can make a report online or call 101, quoting reference 43230461993, or alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
“Thankfully the victims were not injured in this frightening incident, and no property was stolen, but we are keen to identify the offenders and bring them to justice.”
