Local businesses are invited to share how they want to grow and what support they need
Cherwell District Council has secured £1.8 million of government funding to boost productivity, spread opportunities and build pride in our communities.
How and where the money will be spent will be guided by the findings of a business needs survey, with local businesses invited to share how they want to grow and what they need from the council and its partners.
The survey will gather information on the impacts of changing business conditions and capture views on skills, infrastructure, sustainability and other factors affecting their business and their potential growth.
Councillor Donna Ford, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: “Understanding what our businesses need will help us tailor support through our UK Shared Prosperity Funded projects. With the right insights, we can launch the right initiatives supporting business, jobs and economic growth. I urge all businesses to contribute so we fully understand how we can support them to grow and flourish.”
A telephone survey of 700 businesses of all sizes across the district is now underway.
An online survey is also available and business owners and managers are being encouraged to share their thoughts so a complete picture of what is important to them is gathered.
The £1.8m has come from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Funds – part of the government’s Levelling Up agenda.
