Call from members of the public led to emergency services locating man who had been in fields for two days
Two members of the public have been thanked by Thames Valley Police for their life saving actions after they spotted a person in the fields alongside the M40 through Banbury.
After being alerted police officers walked from Longford Park across the fields to get to the individual, who was in the fields on the opposite side of the M40 slightly to the south of the industrial units.
They discovered a male who had been there for at least two days and was suffering from dehydration.
The individual is now receiving medical treatment.
Thames Valley Police said: “A huge thank you and well done to the two members of the public who located a male in the fields not far from the M40 this evening.”
