Walking over red-hot coals for Hospice
17/09/2021
Friends and family will be watching this evening as 30 walkers cross a 12 foot fire pit
30 daring people will brave walking over hot coals this evening, all in the name of charity. The Katharine House Hospice’s fire walk is taking place at Banbury Rugby Club.
Those stepping up for the challenge will receive a 45-minute motivational seminar with Firewalk UK, who are a highly trained and experienced fire walk company. Then they head out to the 12-foot-long pit and prepare to walk over the hot coals which are burning at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Friends and family will be watching as the walkers traverse the red-hot embers, knowing that every step they take brings in vital funds for the Hospice.
To add to the atmosphere live music will be supplied by Pete Watkins, the Rugby Club bar will be open for drinks and food will be served by Jo’s pizzas and Cotswold Cake.
This is the second time Katharine House have run the event with the first fire walk taking place in 2018.
