‘A Night at the Oscars’, which kicks off the 60th anniversary celebrations for Banbury Operatic Society, will take you on a journey of music and dance inspired by the famous Academy Awards, affectionately known as ‘Oscars’.
The cast will showcase a wide selection of songs inspired by the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Original Song and Best Picture categories, spanning 90 years of Oscars history.
The concert will feature classic songs such as ‘Luck Be A Lady’ from Guys and Dolls, ‘Don’t Rain On My Parade’ from Funny Girl, ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ from ‘The Wizard of Oz’, and ‘California Dreamin’’ from Forrest Gump, plus a few medleys – who can resist Mamma Mia, Mary Poppins and a bit of Bond?!
