Man charged with robbery following Banbury and Oxford incidents

Crimes took place on Wednesday and Thursday including an incident at Cash Converters
A man has been charged with a number of offences including robbery, possession of a bladed article and shoplifting following incidents in Banbury and Oxford last week.
Forty-four year old Anthony Martin of no fixed abode was charged on Friday and appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court yesterday.
The crimes took place on Wednesday and Thursday (November 22 and 23). Thames Valley Police had issued an appeal to locate an individual in a CCTV image after a man entered Cash Converters on Banbury High Street demanding money and telling staff he had a knife.
Crimes were also committed in Oxford.
Martin was charged with one count of robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, one count of burglary, one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place, possession of a Class B and C drug, and one count of shoplifting.
He was remanded and will next appear at Oxford Crown Court on December 22.
