Santa with sign-language skills appearing at Banbury Craft Fair
01/12/2023
Everyone is welcome at the RAF Association Club’s event on Saturday
When Father Christmas makes an appearance at the RAF Association Club’s Craft Fair in Banbury tomorrow he will come with some extra skills.
Children who face hearing challenges will feel fully included as Santa will be able to demonstrate the Makaton and British Sign Language which he’s learned over the summer.
Chris Adams from the Club initially contacted one of the elves to book Santa but thought he wouldn’t be available due to a much bigger booking.
Chris said: “I got a call back from the Chief Elf who said he had spoken to Santa and unfortunately he’d already been booked by John Lewis for their flagship store on Oxford Street.
“But two days later, Santa himself rang me and said he had spoken to John Lewis and cancelled them because he wanted to come to Banbury!”
Alongside Santa the fair will feature 14 craft stalls and festive refreshments. It starts at 10am in Newland House on Broad Street and everyone is welcome.
