Young people have proven they are keen to have their voices heard

Around 2,000 people have already had their say on what they want Banbury to look like in the future.     The Banbury Vision 2050 consultation began in November.

It’s a Cherwell District Council project to develop a community led blueprint for Banbury town centre.

Young people are proving they are keen to have their voice heard with ten percent of the responses coming from those under the age of 25.

Themes emerging within the responses so far include views on the town’s heritage and culture and support for the calendar of major events which has developed in recent years.

Students from schools and colleges have been engaged through workshops and the views of local business leaders have been sought at an employers’ workshop.

The survey will remain open until January leaving time for those who haven’t yet submitted their views to do so.  Find out more at banbury2050.co.uk.
