19/12/2023
We are advised to review our home security and remain vigilant
Cash and jewellery were amongst items stolen by thieves who broke into six homes in and around Banbury across a two-day period.
Thames Valley Police believe all the incidents are linked.
The targeted properties were two in Grimsbury (Gibbs Road and West Street), two in Hardwick (Forge Way and Ferriston), one in Sanderling Walk and one in nearby Broughton on Wykham Lane.
The burglaries occurred between Tuesday December 5 and Wednesday December 6 during the day and early evening. Mainly cash and jewellery were taken.
Officers are appealing for members of the public to come forward if they witnessed anyone or any vehicles acting suspiciously in these areas at the time. They are also asking people to check their doorbell cameras, dash cam or CCTV footage for anything that might help in their enquiries.
Following the burglaries a Police spokesperson said: “We encourage residents to review their home security and remain vigilant, especially in the lead up to Christmas.”
