Eagle-eyed member of the public helps rid streets of another knife

The Armed Response Unit helped after a man was reported as causing a disturbance on Merton Street
Thanks to an eagle-eyed member of the public another knife has been removed from the streets of Banbury.
Following reports of a male causing a disturbance on Merton Street, Banbury yesterday morning, officers from Thames Valley Police received information that the man could be in possession of a knife.
With assistance from the Hampshire and Thames Valley Police Armed Response Unit a 20 year old Banbury man was taken into Police custody. He was arrested for possession of a bladed article and also on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. The knife was seized by officers.
