Man charged with murder following the death of Neil Comins

Janaed Akhtar will appear at Oxford Magistrates Court on Thursday
A man has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice following the death of Neil Comins in Banbury after an incident last Wednesday (January 3).
Janaed Akhtar, aged 39, who’s from Cope Road in town was charged following a Thames Valley Police investigation.
Officers had been called to Cope Road at around 3.20am on January 3 following a report that a man had been assaulted. Mr Comins was taken to hospital but subsequently passed away.
A Home Office post-mortem examination revealed a preliminary cause of death as traumatic brain injury.
Akhtar has been remanded in custody and will appear at Oxford Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday).
