23/02/2024
The applicant wants to create four lakes with accommodation lodges, pods and a management building
Plans to create fishing lakes and build accommodation lodges on a green field site just outside Wroxton have been submitted to Cherwell District Council.
ATE Farms is proposing the formation of two fishing lakes and two nursery lakes on farmland off the Stratford Road, close to the Indian Queen restaurant and adjacent to the area which has been used as a Moto Cross track.
Alongside the fishing lakes they want to build 15 accommodation lodges, 8 pods and a management building. The accommodation is highlighted for short-term lettings.
Access would be via a new entrance, created off the A422 and car parking for 60 vehicles is included in the plans.
The applicant says: “The proposal would provide opportunities for people to visit the site and enjoy time outdoors in an attractive environment as part of a healthier lifestyle.”
Public comments on the application can be submitted to Cherwell District Council by March 21 and a decision by the Planning Committee is expected at their meeting in May.
The application has been given reference 24/00375/F.
