A packed year of events in Brackley
08/02/2022
Jubilee celebrations and the return of popular favourites in the town’s events calendar
A Platinum Jubilee celebration weekend, Party In The Park and a Classic Car Show are amongst the events lined up for 2022 in Brackley this year. The Town Council has unveiled a packed diary for the year to keep local people entertained.
Events to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee take pride of place within the calendar, with a number of ways for families to celebrate over the bank holiday four days from June 2 to 5. A Family Fun Day on the Thursday will include live music and entertainment, culminating with the lighting of Brackley’s beacon during the evening.
Other activities during the weekend include children’s crown making workshops on Friday, Brackley Carnival on Saturday and a Service of Thanksgiving and the Big Jubilee Lunch on Sunday.
Elsewhere during 2022 popular events from previous years make a return including the Teddy Bear Festival and Classic Car Show in August, Party In The Park in September and Brackley Fireworks in November.
Those planning to tie the knot in the coming months should pop the Brackley Wedding Fair in their diary. It is scheduled for Saturday March 5.
At the back end of the year, after the huge success of 2021’s Brackley Tractor Run the event will take place again in December and after the pandemic and weather both caused havoc with last year’s Lantern Parade and Christmas Lights Switch-On, its hoped the event will be able to run smoothly this year on November 26.
Brackley Town Council encourage people to follow their social media channels and website for updates on all their events.
