The police helicopter was used to track down the culprits
Three motorcycles have been seized by Thames Valley Police over the weekend as they cracked down on their illegal use in and around the Bretch Hill area of Banbury. The force’s helicopter took to the sky to help track down those involved.
On Saturday a 43-year-old man was caught riding a motorcycle around Princess Diana Park. The bike was seized and the rider issued with a ticket leading to a £300 fine and 6 penalty points on his licence.
A further two more motorcycles were subsequently seized and four youths under 18 arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and other driving offences. One was released; the other three were given police bail with conditions attached.
Officers say they receive almost daily complaints about motorcycles being used illegally and in an anti-social way.
A spokesperson said: “We urge the public to continue to report incidents to us and [we] gratefully receive any information as to who may be responsible for this offending.”
