Banbury’s phone box library gets a Valentine makeover
17/02/2022
Youngsters decorated the phone box library with love hearts for Valentine’s Day
Pupils at St John’s Priory in Banbury shared the love for Valentine’s Day earlier this week.
The youngsters decided to decorate Banbury’s phone box library with love hearts. The phone box is on South Bar, just round the corner from the school.
They also gave away home-made knitted hearts to those who visited the library on the day.
In school, pupils reflected on the theme of “love” in their assemblies. They wrote their thoughts on “love is” on pink post it notes, which were then shared aloud with the whole school community.
Headmistress Tracey Wilson said: “Love is one of our school values and plays an important part in our pupil’s daily lives. Love is defined as a very strong feeling of affection or a great interest and pleasure in something. It can be expressed in many different ways.
“This Valentine’s Day, we wanted to extend this feeling of love with our local community and give something back. We hope that our hearts spread a little bit of happiness and joy on this special day.”
