30/03/2022
The tasty delights of cottage-industry produce will pack Banbury market place
Fabulous food and tasty tipples will greet Banbury shoppers on Sunday 10 April as the popular Taste of Spring food fair returns to the Market Place after a two-year absence because of covid restrictions.
Around 50 stalls will be stacked high with mouth-watering eats and drinks that will satisfy the most adventurous appetites.
It will be a day to remember for those who like good food made by small producers.
From chutney to chocolate and from cider to champagne, visitors will discover an open air delicatessen with knowledgeable traders serving up the delights of cottage-industry produce.
‘A Taste of Spring’ is a food festival that will blow away the winter blues and usher in the new season.
Organised by Banbury Town Council, the fair will be open from 10.30am until 4.30pm and entry is free.
Toby Russell, the council’s events manager, said: “It will be wonderful to be at the first of what should be a busy year of events.
“The spring food fair is an excellent way to start the year and there is always something new to sample,
“I love trying food and drink that’s a little bit different to everyday fare and the Taste of Spring festival is just the place to do that.”
