Long delays on M40 due to multi-vehicle accident

The motorway is closed from junction 12 to Banbury’s junction 11
An accident on the M40 just to the north of Banbury has resulted in the motorway being closed southbound between junction 12 at Gaydon and 11 at Banbury.
Its happened close to where the M40 passes underneath the Southam Road.
Traffic is queuing for nearly 7 miles approaching the scene. The Highways Agency closed the motorway just after midday.
They say it’s a multi vehicle collision involving an overturned vehicle.
Emergency services are in attendance.
On the northbound carriageway traffic is very slow from before junction 11.
