Expensive repair bill for Middleton Cheney van owners after attempted theft
20/05/2024
In both cases the side door was bent down causing extensive damage
Two van owners in Middleton Cheney have been left with an expensive repair bill after thieves broke into their vehicles in an attempt to steal the contents. However, nothing was taken during the attempted theft.
In both cases entry was gained by force being applied to the top of the side door, bending it down. This caused a lot of damage to the vans.
The attempted theft happened between midnight and 8:30am yesterday (Sunday May 19). One of the vans was parked on a drive in Horton Road. The other was parked on Main Road.
Northants Police are appealing for anyone with information, or people who were in the area at the time who heard or saw anything suspicious, to get in contact.
Officers can be reached by calling 101 and quoting reference number 24000293111 or 24000293195. Report can also be made online, or anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
