Skatepark building work begins
10/06/2024
The facility should be up and running by the autumn
Work is beginning today on the construction of Brackley’s new skatepark. The facility will be built on land next to Brackley Leisure Centre, alongside Candleford Close.
The idea of a skatepark has been in the pipeline for a long time but had suffered delays due to the pandemic and developer funding not becoming available when expected.
Planning permission was granted in April with the design described as consisting of “several quarter-pipes, ramps, ledges and rails and would broadly be laid out in an ‘H’ shape with two linear sections with a connecting central area”.
The build is expected to be completed by early September.

Over 100 residents objected to this monstrosity. Today they took out a wonderful mature walnut tree beloved by the elderly retired residents on this street. Shame on Brackley Town Council
