Man suffers broken skull and dislocated knee after pedestrian crossing collision

Witnesses are being sought following the Sunday early evening incident

A man suffered a broken skull and dislocated knee after being involved in a collision with a car whilst he was crossing a Banbury road.

The 21-year-old was on the zebra crossing on the High Street at around 5.25pm on Sunday June 2 when a blue Ford Focus hit him.   The driver of the vehicle did stop at the scene.

The pedestrian was taken to Horton General Hospital and has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Matt Watson, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are seeking witnesses to this collision which occurred on a busy street at a busy time of the day.

“We would ask anyone who witnessed this collision or may have dash-cam footage to please come forward.
