Rotary Club to induct first Corporate Members
12/07/2024
The new scheme is a win for the organisation, rotary and the community
Four new members are being inducted into the Rotary Club of Banbury today as part of a new Corporate Membership initiative. All four come from the Westminster Group, a Banbury based international security and managed services group with headquarters at Blacklocks Hill.
Historically individuals have applied to become Rotarians, but the Corporate Membership programme allows business and organisations to join, with up to four of their people able to take advantage of club membership. There is no limit to the size of the business or organisation and can include schools, charities and government entities.
Charles Hughes, Club President, said: “We are very excited about the new Corporate Membership programme. It is good for the organisation in developing networking opportunities and supporting the community, it is good for Rotary by expanding our support network and ability to get things done, and it is good for the local community. It is good for everyone.
“I am delighted therefore that the Westminster Group Plc. have agreed to be our first Corporate Member, soon to be joined by many other local businesses and organisations.
“Whether you are a single trader or a larger business, whether you are looking to build your network or CSR credentials or simply would like to give something back and support the local community, we would love to hear from you. Rotary is well positioned to complement your business and help you support our community.”
Corporate Membership costs £175 per year.
The Rotary Club of Banbury meet on Friday lunchtimes at either the Freemason’s Hall on Marlborough Road in Banbury, or at Banbury Cricket Club in Bodicote. They also have one evening meeting a month, making it easier for working people to attend.
Rotary is the oldest and one of the largest service organisations for business and professional people in the world, with around 1.4 million members.
