Local delights and international flavours at Food and Drink Festival
15/08/2024
Anne Marie Lambert will host sessions to encourage children to get cooking
Banbury’s Food and Drink Festival will showcase both local delights and international flavours in the Market Place this Sunday. Over 70 traders will be heading to the must-visit event for food enthusiasts.
Everything from traditional favourites to exciting new dishes you might never have tried before will be on offer, including sweet, savoury and spicy options. Tasty treats will be available to try at the event, or to take home for later.
Specifically for children Anne Marie Lambert will be hosting Get Cooking workshops. Anne Marie believes that anyone can cook – with a little help – and aims to make cooking a pleasure and not a chore. She also believes that cooking does not have to be complicated or use expensive ingredients to taste good.
Anne Marie’s sessions on Sunday will show children how to create tasty, healthy meals using simple, affordable ingredients. She said: “Seeing children chopping, mixing, and tasting what they’ve made always brings a smile to my face. It’s even more rewarding when they try a new ingredient for the first time and love it.”
Parents can book their children into the classes on the morning of the Festival, with sessions scheduled throughout the day.
The Food and Drink Festival runs from 10:30am to 4pm.
