Stores on Banbury Cross Retail Park targeted by thieves

Two people have been arrested but officers are looking for help identifying the person in this picture

Items valued at £884 were stolen when a number of stores at Banbury Cross Retail Park on Lockheed Close were targeted by thieves.

Following the incident, on Thursday 8 August, Thames Valley Police has released an image of an individual officers would like to speak to.

The burglaries took place between 8am and 10.30am, during which time an offender entered several stores.   They have been linked to a silver Volkswagen Touran, with the licence plate ending in KWT.

A 16-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man, both from Birmingham, have each been arrested on suspicion of burglary.   Both have been bailed.

Investigating officer PC Catarina Grandado Souza, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this burglary to please get in touch.

“Also, if you have any CCTV cameras in the area or if you were driving in the area around the time and have a dash-cam, I’d also ask that you check your recordings in case they have captured something that could assist our investigation.

“I urge anyone with information or footage to contact us by calling 101 or via our website, quoting reference number 43240377369.

“Alternatively, you can report information completely anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.

“We take retail crime seriously as we know how much it impacts business owners and staff so we will investigate this burglary thoroughly.”
