18 of the world’s top cycling teams are taking part
Britain’s biggest professional cycling event will be in West Northamptonshire tomorrow and parts of the route are in the Banbury FM area.
The penultimate stage of the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men will follow a route from the University of Northampton around 91 miles of countryside, racing through Culworth, Thorpe Mandeville, close to Greatworth and Helmdon. The route finishes at the Guildhall on Northampton’s Derngate.
18 of the world’s top cycling teams, including the likes of double Olympic gold medallist Remco Evenepoel, double world road race champion Julian Alaphilippe (both Soudal Quick-Step) and Olympic mountain biking star Tom Pidcock (INEOS Grenadiers) are taking part.
The riders are expected through the section close to us around lunchtime.
