Woman may have witnessed assaults at Banbury bar

ORIGINAL STORY: Police officers want to make contact with a woman who may have witnessed the assaults which took place inside and outside of AKA on Parson’s Street in Banbury back on August 18.
Three people were assaulted at around 12.05am with one requiring medical treatment after he sustained a fractured cheekbone, chipped teeth and cuts to the side of his lips. A second victim received scratches and cuts to his head and bruised ribs.
Initially two Banbury men, aged 23 and 25 were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm. They were released on conditional police bail until November 7.
An 18-year-old man was subsequently also arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He’s also from Banbury and has been bailed until November 28.
Today officers have released the image of a potential witness they would like to speak to.
Investigating officer PC Vince Clenshaw, based at Banbury police station, said: “This incident occurred inside and outside a busy bar at around midnight on Sunday 18 August and appeared to follow an earlier argument inside the club.
“I am releasing this image of a woman who I believe witnessed what happened.
“I would like to make it very clear, that this person is a witness and not suspected of any offence whatsoever, and I would appeal to this person to please contact Thames Valley Police.
