Man left unconscious following Banbury daytime assault

The offender left the scene with a female
A man was left unconscious after an assault at the High Street entrance to White Lion Walk in Banbury.
The incident occurred at around 2.06pm last Tuesday (October 1).
A man in his forties was chatting with another man and a woman. An altercation ensued and the male offender hit the victim in the face before pulling him to the ground. Accompanied by the woman, the offender left the victim unconscious and walked away up White Lion Walk.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The offender is described as a white man aged late-fifties/sixties with short greying hair and a white beard. He was around 5ft 8 inches tall and was wearing a fluorescent orange overcoat, grey camo-style trousers and black boots.
A spokesperson for the Investigating team at Banbury police station said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV [footage]…
