Train station walkway to be transformed with Stories of the People of Banbury

“We believe that every person has a story worth telling”
The people who have made a difference in Banbury are to be celebrated as part of a new initiative to transform the overbridge walkway at Banbury Train Station. The vibrant showcase of the town’s rich talent and spirit will be installed between the multi-storey car park and the main station building.
Banbury BID has launched the “Stories of the People of Banbury” project and wants local people to nominate those individuals deserving of inclusion. This could include local artists, dedicated volunteers, talented entrepreneurs, or inspiring young people.
Jasmine Gilhooly from Banbury BID said: “We believe that every person has a story worth telling. This project is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible talent within our community and to create a lasting visual representation of the people who make Banbury special.”
The initiative will feature headshots and short videos that highlight the unique stories and contributions of individuals and business owners from Banbury and will celebrate the town’s diversity.
The deadline for submitting suggestions of people to be included is next Wednesday (October 16).
The project is supported and funded by Chiltern Railways Community Fund.

What a great idea! Banbury gets a lot of stick at times so it’s refreshing to see it being celebrated for something positive and community oriented
