Batteries and metal stolen during Sunday evening break in at recycling centre
19/11/2024
It’s the third time this year the centre has been targeted
Car batteries, brass and copper valued at around £400 were stolen from the Farthinghoe Household Waste and Recycling Centre on Sunday evening.
Intruders were caught on CCTV breaking into the site on the A422 just outside Farthinghoe between 8.30pm and 9.10pm.
The site management team believe entry was made using the main entrance on the A422 and believe a vehicle would have been parked there during the period around the break in.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 24000687025.”
It’s the third time this year the centre has been targeted. On the previous occasion forced entry was made into the office and a lot of damage caused to the property.
