Storm flooding caused Friday water problems in Banbury
29/11/2024
Properties had low or no water pressure
Homes and business in and around Banbury were affected by low or no water pressure this morning.
Thames Water say that following Storm Bert they had issues at one of their local sites due to flooding. This left the site not running as it normally would, leading to pressure being lower than usual across the area.
Customers told Banbury FM they first noticed the problem around 9am this morning.
Supplies were restored by around 11am by re-routing the network. Pressure was expected to return to normal within an hour.
Following the problem Thames Water advised anyone who notices changes to their water, or thinks they have an airlock, to follow the Incident Guide on their website for tips and advice.
