NOA community raises £1,411 for the British Heart Foundation

The money was raised in memory of a former teacher at the school
Staff and students at the North Oxfordshire Academy raised £1,411 for the British Heart Foundation during a number of fund-raising initiatives last week, in memory of former teacher Marcus Treadgold.
Events started with Head of PE Matt North completing a Marathon length run around the athletics track. Money was also raised at a staff versus sixth form football match, a netball tournament and at the annual sports day.
Mr North oversaw the fund-raising initiatives as he came towards the end of his time at the Academy. He said: “As I leave NOA, I’m proud to have contributed to something that reflects the heart of our school and its values. Wishing the entire NOA community all the very best for the future.”
