This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Hospice charity being set up

The man who had the vision to create the Katharine House Hospice celebrated his 90th birthday yesterday.

Neil Gadsby MBE set the Katharine House charity and rallied the local community to start raising the significant funds needed to build the Adderbury based Hospice some 40 years ago, after his daughter Katharine passed away from cancer at the age of 20.

The Katharine House released pictures of Neil with a message: “Please join us in wishing Neil a very special day and thanking him for everything he has done for our local community since setting up the charity in 1985.”
