Remembering a man who helped create magic moments

A ukulele is being auctioned ahead of a special event on Saturday

Anyone who’s been involved with the Let’s Play Project in Adderbury over the years will remember Johnny Ruffle.   His enthusiasm and imagination helped create magic moments for the charity.

Sadly, Johnny died suddenly last year, but his friends and family want to carry on his work and celebrate the man, his generosity, and love of life’s little joys.

They’ve organised a fund-raising event at the Elephant and Castle in Bloxham this Saturday.   It will raise money for both the Let’s Play Project and another of Johnny’s favourite charities, Live Paws in Tenerife, where most of Johnny’s immediate family now live.

Saturday’s event is called Cartwheels and Sunflowers and features live music, games, a magician, archery, Aunt Sally and plenty more.

Ahead of that one of the band’s who will be playing, Leatherat, have donated a ukulele to be sold in a silent auction.   Its been signed by the members of Fairport Convention.

Anyone wanting to make a bid can do so using this link.
