Details
Banbury marks the British victory against German pilots during the Battle of Britain, one of the most important campaigns of World War II. 2025 marks 85 years since the Battle of Britain.
The event will begin in Market Place, where a military parade will travel through the centre of town towards St Mary’s Church. The parade will feature dozens of participants from a variety of regiments and organisations.
St Mary’s Church will host a memorial service in honour of those who fought in the Battle of Britain. This service will feature hymns, readings, and poems paying respect to ‘The Few’.
Shortly after the service there will be a flypast by a spitfire.
