A mobility scooter has been stolen from a 90-year-old man in Banbury town centre.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred between 1.30pm and 1.45pm last Thursday (October 1), outside Orinoco on the High Street.

A group of three men took the dark grey and blue Rascal 388XL scooter, which had the victim’s rain coat attached.

They are described as three white men in their late teens.

Investigating officer, PC Jack Wilkins, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this theft or has information that may assist us to please get in touch.

“If you have any information relating to this incident, please call 101 or report it online via our website, quoting 43250501114.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
