MP backs PM and quashes leadership rumours

Sean Woodcock says “we have a Labour Prime Minister who retains my support”

In the face of national media rumours, the Prime Minister continues to have the backing of Banbury’s MP.

Amidst speculation over the future of Sir Kier Starmer, Sean Woodcock has dismissed the rumours.

This morning Health Secretary Wes Streeting denied he is plotting to oust Sir Keir.   The rebuttal came after Downing Street intervened in claims that a potential leadership coup is in the works.

Mr Woodcock sought to quash the rumours telling Banbury FM: “There is no leadership contest and we have a Labour Prime Minister who retains my support.”
