Bah-humbug insurance company stops Santa from boarding his sleigh

The elves have had a word and its all systems go for tonight

The plug had to be pulled on the first night of this year’s Banbury Cross Round Table Santa Tour of Banbury last night.

The sleigh had been scheduled to visit the Pavillions and Timms Estates, but the club’s insurers failed to finalise the cover needed so Tablers couldn’t collect their loaned tractor to tow Santa.

The club expressed their frustration on social media: “Unfortunately despite chasing our insurers constantly for the past few days we’ve been unable to finalise cover to collect our loaned tractor to tow Santa this evening.”

So people living on the affected estates don’t miss out club members have been working on a contingency plan which incorporates Pavillions into a revised Bodicote route next Tuesday.   The Timms Estate will now become part of the Easington route on Wednesday.

Its been confirmed the issue has now been resolved and tonight’s visit to Adderbury is going ahead.
