Teenage girl escapes balaclava wearing male who grabbed her

People are being asked to check for relevant CCTV footage

A girl managed to escape from a balaclava wearing male who grabbed her whilst she was in the Spinney Woods area of Banbury’s Bretch Hill.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which took place on Monday December 8 at 11.10am.

The teenage victim managed to push the unknown male off and ran away.

He is thought to be aged 15-25 years old, white, around 5 foot 9 inches and was dressed in all black clothing, as well as wearing a balaclava.

Police have visited houses neighbouring the area but are now appealing to the wider area around Balmoral Avenue, Edmunds Road, Mascord Road and Bretch Hill for any relevant CCTV footage.   They are particularly keen for people to check any activity between 10.30am and midday on the day.
