Town centre drivers caught for 14 offences in just two hours

The Roads Policing Unit completed checks last Friday

Over a period of just 2 hours police caught people committing 14 driving offences in the centre of Banbury.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit were in the town undertaking checks last Friday.

During their monitoring they issued 6 tickets for mobile phone offences, 3 for breaches of the rules relating to wearing seatbelts and 4 for people caught speeding.

Another driver was caught and arrested on suspicion of a drug driving offence.   They were arrested and taken to custody.
