Banbury’s music scene will feature this weekend as part of Independent Venue Week – the UK’s annual celebration of grassroots music venues.
Strummer Room Records and The Apothecary Tap in Butcher’s Row are hosting a two-day showcase of emerging local talent, featuring indie, alternative, and rock performances.
The music begins at 7.45pm with doors opening from 7pm. On the bill are Canned Pineapple, WREX, and Ghosts in the Photographs.
Tomorrow’s highlights include Aqualine, Big Trousers, and Lake Acacia, starting at 5.30pm.
A member of the Strummer Room Records team said: “We are incredibly proud to bring Independent Venue Week to Banbury. Small venues like The Apothecary Tap are the lifeblood of the music industry, and this is a chance for the local community to enjoy live music and discover their next favourite band right on their doorstep.”
