Male suffers broken nose during Merton Street assault

Police want to speak to witnesses and anyone with CCTV footage

A person was left with a broken nose after he and another male were assaulted on Merton Street in Banbury.   The incident happened at around 2pm on December 26 last year following the end of Friday prayers at the Mosque.

Police are appealing for information following the assault by two other males.

One suspect is described as an Asian male, black hair, around 5 foot 8 tall, of medium build.   He was wearing a light grey puffer jacket.  

The other suspect is also an Asian male, with black hair and around 6 foot in height.   At the time he was wearing a blue top and jeans.

 Investigating officer, Police Constable Flint, based at Banbury police station, said; “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV to please come forward. 

“If you have any information around this incident, please contact the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting reference 43250654213 or online. 

“If you do not want to talk to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
