Appeal to find man following Church Lane burglary

A second person has already been arrested on suspicion of burglary

Thames Valley Police has launched an appeal to locate a man who is wanted in connection with a burglary in Banbury town centre.

The offence occurred on December 28 last year in Church Lane.   Over £2,000 and other items were stolen.

Officers are asking for the public’s help in finding 30-year-old Jon Mobey (pictured) in connection with the burglary.

He is described as a white man, around 5ft 5ins tall of medium build, with short black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on the right side of his neck that displays ’16-01’18’.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Chris Eaton, said: “We’re urging anyone with any information about Jon’s whereabouts to please come forward and speak to us.

“No matter how small, every detail might help us to locate him.”

Anyone with information on Jon Mobey’s whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting reference 43250656318.”

In relation to the incident a 19-year-old Banbury man has already been arrested on suspicion of burglary.   He’s been released on bail until March 24.
