Bus shelter vandalised just a day after being repaired

The area’s local councillor said “what’s the point” after he worked to get the repairs organised
A Banbury councillor has hit out at vandals who painted graffiti on a bus shelter just a day after work had been completed to remove earlier damage.
Councillor Andrew Crichton spent time reporting the issue and ensuring the graffiti was removed. Having seen the latest damage an exasperated Councillor Crichton said “what’s the point”.
The bus shelter is on Highlands near St Francis’s Church and forms part of the B9 route.
The graffiti had been on the panelling for around a month. The damaged panel was replaced yesterday, just days after Councillor Crichton reported it.
Today new graffiti has appeared.
Councillor Crichton told Banbury FM: “When I saw this graffiti I reported it as it’s a pretty unpleasant message. I reported it on Monday, the glass pane was replaced on Thursday and by Friday it had appeared again.
“What a waste of time and resources this has been for all involved. I do enjoy graffiti art, but this is no art.
“If the perpetrators want to write silly messages on a window, I suggest they do it on their own window.”
