Banbury Charities makes grant award to help fix Spencer Stadium roof

Unite Union members at JDE have also made a donation
Banbury United has received a £10,000 grant from Banbury Charities towards repair work on the roof of the Spencer Stadium.
Unite union members at JDE have also donated £500.
The club noted that the roof work was an important part of ensuring the Spencer Stadium remained a safe, welcoming and sustainable home for players, supporters, volunteers and the wider community.
The club’s Chairman, Wayne Farrell, said: “We are extremely grateful for the support shown by Banbury Charities and the Unite members at JDE. These contributions will make a real difference as we carry out important work to protect and improve our facilities.
“Banbury United is proud to be at the heart of the local community, and backing of this nature is invaluable as we look to secure the long-term future of the club.”
Banbury Charities assists individuals and organisations which benefit inhabitants of the former Borough of Banbury and within a five-mile radius of Banbury Cross. The Trustees of Banbury Charities are unpaid volunteers, including nominated local councillors, residents and business people.
