The local Neighbourhood Policing Team says it has received information about fake notes being used in shops and is urging people to take extra care when handling cash.

Officers are advising us to check banknotes carefully and make use of any note-checking equipment where possible.

Anyone who comes across a suspected counterfeit note, or notices suspicious activity, is encouraged to report it to Thames Valley Police online or by calling 101.
