Hornton’s annual May Day celebration kicks off on Bank Holiday Monday from 12.30pm with many stalls and games, including a raffle with some amazing prizes (including vouchers for local farm shops, golf clubs, hampers and more).

There will be dancing ar0und the Maypole at 1.30pm and the May King and Queen from Hornton school crowned at 1.45pm, with Morris dancing to follow.

Enjoy a barbecue, ice cream van and refreshments in the chapel, as well as alcoholic beverages available at the Dun Cow.

Join in with a number of games including “wine or water”, fitness challenges, a tombola and the wheel of fortune.   There will also be a teacup ride for children.

Parking is available at the pavillion with the Stratford Road suggested as the best route into the village for easy access.
