Local organisations and events will still be supported but commercial advertising is prohibited

New guidelines have been introduced for displaying banners at key sites in Brackley.

The updated rules apply to Poppyfields Park, Zipwire Park and the junction of Banbury Road and the High Street.   Under the changes, banners from charities and non-profit community groups will continue to be allowed, but commercial advertising is prohibited.

An exception has been made to allow discretion on the promotion of some commercial events within the town at Poppyfields Park.

Groups wishing to display a banner must contact Brackley Town Council in advance to book space.

The council said any unauthorised banners, or those left beyond the agreed period, will be removed.   The measures aim to keep public spaces tidy while still supporting local organisations and events.
