Mayoral year raises cash for youth mental health and wellbeing charity

The total raised was kept a secret from Councillor Tiller
Brackley’s annual Mayor Making ceremony took place on Saturday, bringing an end of Councillor Bernie Tiller’s year wearing the chains of office.
During a busy twelve months of mayoral events, trips and visits Councillor Tiller has been raising money for his chosen charity, b-Yourself – the mental health and wellbeing charity for young people in Brackley.
A grand total of £7,600 was presented to Dr Victoria Morrell from the charity.
Councillor Tiller said of b-Yourself: “It is a cause very close to my heart, as I understand just how important it is for young people to have support when they need it most.”
The amount raised from kept a secret from Councillor Tiller until Friday afternoon.
He said on hearing the total he was absolutely amazed and added: “A thank you to everyone who helped, supported, and contributed.”
Brackley’s new Town Mayor is Councillor Jason Kew.
