Unburnt embers from a log burner started the fire
Embers from a log burner caused a garage fire in Banbury on Sunday (May 1). Fire fighters managed to stop the blaze spreading to the house on Dukes Meadow Drive.
Green Watch at Banbury Fire Station were called to deal with the fire. Whilst wearing breathing apparatus firefighters fought and extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.
The fire occurred after a log burner containing unburnt embers was placed in the garage.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue remind people to safely disposal of embers when clearing log burners.
